On Easter we talked about just how ridiculous it is that 2000+ years later, communities of people all around the world are celebrating the resurrection of a man who claimed to be God. So ridiculous that it forces you to examine whether it could be true or not. The more I have spent time digging into it, the more I have been completely convinced of the truth of the resurrection of Jesus.
This weekend, we’ll ask the question, “What difference has the resurrection of Jesus made in the world?” The great part is that we’ll ask that question around tables while we eat delicious foodstuffs. It’s breakfast at Pathways, so bring a dish of something and we’ll eat deep dishes and consider deep questions.
So, what do you think? What difference has the resurrection made in the world? Toss out one or two of your thoughts here into blogland. (We’re not asking you to build a case or even complete a sentence - just tossing thoughts - surely you’ve been doing that since you were three!)

Well - without the resurrection, the grave would be it for us. And I would be very unhappy to think that our time here on earth is as good as it gets. Without the resurrection, how much weight can we truly give the New Testament? I beleive in the New Testament. I believe in the resurrection.

Greetings to all,
In my attempt to live a true life of Christianity, by purpose and not just by word, I am in celebration of His resurrection each and everyday. As Christ allows His followers to participate in distribution of His love and message of Hope, it could be no other way.
The opportunity of being saved happened over 2000 years ago, when the penalty of death for sin was defeated victoriously as the crucified Christ rose again! Scripture clearly states, we are being saved on a continual basis, second by second. With the constant reminder of His resurrection, Christians have hope of this salvation.
As example, Jesus set before those who choose to believe, the opportunity to die and resurrect with Him, but unlike Him, this need is a daily thing as we are sinners plain and simple. I believe if those in the world live by dieing to sin and self—daily—it would become a world motivated by love and the pursuit of making a better way for others. Is this not what Jesus did for us, yet sinners.
Scriptures states that perfect love is in knowing Jesus and keeping His commandments. It states that by doing this you will have perfect love, and the need to ask how others can recognize you as a Christian is unnecessary when the bible plainly says we are known as Christ’s by the love we show for one another.
God so loved the world He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. And Jesus so loved His father that He gave His life (the ultimate act of love) so none should perish but all have life eternal with Him and the Father. Jesus fulfilled the will of His Father. We as Christians, by the resurrection, can be participants in God’s will being done.
Thank You God for the opportunity of loving You back, and in showing it, loving others!

HOPE….for a future to come…THIS life isn’t all there is!!!!!!!!!!
that whatever trials I face in this life are only temporary.
POWER….many times in my life I have had to ask God to give me RESURRECTION POWER to over come
whatever I was facing at the time.(temptations ..certain sins…or thought patterns)
ONLY HIS POWER has saved me from a life of destruction heartache and pain for me and those
I love.
PEACE….Knowing this life is not the end. And having already lost Chuck’s dad and now facing end
of life issues with mine I have tremendous peace that one day we will be all reunited.
LIFE….we have a choice 1) choose to believe by faith in the resurrection or 2) deny it. Choosing
to believe gives me abundant life and makes this life on earth worth living.
GRATEFUL…..that I believe and have faith in a LIVING GOD….not a dead body in a grave….
or a wooden statue or an animal…my resurrected Lord is ALIVE and WELL and in
CONTROL of HIS KINGDOM.This is a tremendous relief for me to have that burden off of
MY( overly responsible) shoulders….I don’t have to control anything! God has it all
under His control.
His resurrection gives me unconditional love when we can’t count on humans to love us
unconditionally. They fail us every time! A resurrected God loves me and his death
burial and resurrection is proof enough for me!
